Health Care Services

The goal of the Health Care Services Division is to:

• Increase access to quality primary and preventive health care for ethnic and racial minorities and other underserved populations.
• Build the capacity of partner organizations through technical assistance in the areas of strategic planning, needs assessment, social research, resource identification, and program evaluation.
• Focus health care spending on areas that measurably improve the quality of care and provide preventive resources.
  

Health Care Division

There are two parts of the Health Care Services Division:

Part A includes: North End Mobile Health Van - Providing basic health screenings Healthy Relationships - Group interventions for African Americans living with HIV/AIDS Early Intervention Program - HIV counseling and testing Connect & Reconnect to HIV Care Outpatient Ambulatory Care

Part B includes: Drug Treatment Advocacy Medical Case Management Transportation Support Substance Abuse Counseling Emergency Funds for Client Needs

Programs at Central AHEC strive to expand the provision of existing continuum of primary care and substance abuse services to persons infected with HIV and AIDS who live in the Greater Hartford Eligible Metropolitan Area through:
